Notes:  The Nocturne class is a battlecruiser variant inspired by the Lunar and Overlord class cruisers.  It is similar to the Armageddon class Battlecruiser, but utilizes rare, advanced power cores that extend the range of it's weapons to 60cm.

The Nocturnus is truly a sight to behold, as befitting the flagship of a premier Battlegroup and the first ship in a new line of Battlecruisers.  It's massive armored prow is plated in platinum and gold, crowned with an Imperial Eagle of pure Obsidian.  The control cathedral is adorned in gold and silver and the hull is black as night.  The use of the Nocturne is similar to that of an Overlord, with the exception of providing more substantial lance support.  It is more affective against traditional enemies such as Chaos or Orks, where lances have greater effect.
